Due to school policy, all teams (and individual contestants) must be accompanied by a parent or supervisors who will stay for the ENTIRETY of WinMaC. Parents/supervisors need to be physically present at Winchester High School, and can work or wait in the school auditorium. Parents/supervisors will NOT be allowed to talk with participants during rounds.
No, there will be two divisions with the same round structures but different questions for elementary and middle school. Prizes and podium places will also be separated by division.
No, you can register as an individual, which is an option on the registration Google Form. As an individual, you will be placed in a team of other individuals for the team round, as the round is designed to be completed by the 4 person team. They will participate in individual rounds as normal.
Yes, but they will have to compete in the middle school division.
Teams are strictly 4 or fewer students per team. You may register as a 2 or 3 person team, or as an individual. It is highly recommended to have a team of 4, as the team round would be more difficult otherwise.
Yes, any student grade 5 and below can compete in the elementary school division and any student grade 8 and below can compete in the middle school division. However, keep in mind that the elementary school division is designed for 4th and 5th graders and the middle school division is designed for 6th through 8th graders.
